The Fetlock Stabilizing Brace Instructions for Use

The Fetlock Stabilizing Brace is for the front leg.  It positions the fetlock in an upright position to protect the suspensory ligaments.  It can be used for transport or after injury.  It is sized to fit thoroughbreds or horses of similar size.

Care and Cleaning

  1. Your brace is made from copolymer plastic with a closed-cell liner.  The liner will not absorb fluid.  The liner fastens in with Velcro and can be removed for cleaning or replaced when worn.
  2. To clean, use mild soap and a soft cloth.
  3. Allow to air dry completely before storing.
  4. Store above freezing and below 85 degree F.  Pronged very hot temperature can cause plastic to change shape.  Temperature below freezing will not damage the plastic, but will necessitate warming before use because the plastic becomes brittle when cold.
