About Us

Equine Bracing Solutions was originally founded in 2000 in Trumansburg, New York by Bob Frank and has moved to Asheville, NC under the direction of new partner and technician Gabriel Hargett. Equine Bracing Solutions is dedicated to providing up-to-date orthotic care for horses and other animals.  Primary uses for bracing are fractures, correcting deformities, wound and pain management, and stabilization in emergencies.

Bob Frank is an orthotist/prosthetist certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics with 30 years experience in the neurosurgical and orthopedic community.  For eleven years he has been working with a variety of animals, primarily horses, for the veterinary community. Bob has adapted orthopedic designs, techniques, materials and methods for veterinary use.

Gabriel  Hargett is an Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics with 6 years experience in fabrication processes. Gabriel is skilled in working with high end orthotic and prosthetic materials including carbon fiber, silicon, plastics, metal, leather and pre impregnated carbon fiber. Gabriel’s knowledge in mold making procedures and cast modifications have ensured proper fit and function for orthopedic bracing over the years. Transferring his skills acquired from working with humans, he now applies this knowledge to working with Equine Bracing Solutions.
